Homebound member of the week

Please note that while all other bills are current, we remain a couple months behind on our Mission Share.  While we are making progress,  your continued help in caring for that deficit is very much appreciated.

A new film, the Golden Compass, is coming out in early December.  While the ads make it look like something good for children, there is concern among many about its true content.  If you would like to know more about it please check our website (www.scottdalechristum.com)  and look for the movie and television link which will provide a full analysis when the movie is released.  In the meantime, you are also encouraged to look at www.snopes.com/politics/religion/compass.asp for more information

The Children’s Annual Christmas program will be coming up on Sunday, December 16.  Along with that will be a pancake and sausage breakfast prepared by the new Men’s Group of the church.  While costs will be covered by donations that day, rather than prepaid reservations, we do need to know how many to prepare for, so please make  reservation by Monday, December 10. 

Also, helpers are needed to set up, cook, serve and clean up that day.  Can you lend a hand?
